TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR BM VIDYALAYA TEACHERS & CAREGIVERS

Bala Mandir Vidyalaya Primary School

Abstract: The core of BMRF’s parenting philosophy is the psycho-social relationship between the ‘parent’ and the child, and the enhancement of the child’s sense of self. BMRF has expanded the definition of ‘parent’ to include all those who play a parenting role in the child’s environment. This includes not only mothers and fathers but also teachers and caregivers.

BMRF has a well-defined training programme, ‘Parenting for the Primary School Child’, which aims to promote staff awareness and understanding on the psycho-social developmental needs of the primary school child and accordingly their behavioural and learning attitudes, and how to develop appropriate teachings methods and responses.

A 7-session training programme was conducted online from February to April 2021 for teachers and caregivers of the Bala Mandir Vidyalaya Primary School (Standards I to V) by expert in-house child development trainers.
