BMRF field staff provide daily support to the AWWs by demonstrating and conducting educational and learning activities with the children at the Anganwadi centres.

Daily play activities are based on the international SickKids ‘Learning Through Play’ Calendars in conjunction with the ICDS syllabus to support holistic development across 5 key domains – Sense of Self, Physical, Relationships, Understanding and Communication.

BMRF conducts bi-annual centre-based child assessments using its own tool, the ‘Child Observation Record (COR)’, to track and monitor each child’s development, engage, and communicate with parents, and provide additional inputs and stimulations where needed.

BMRF also conducts regular inspections and assessments of the physical infrastructure of the centres using the Tamil Nadu Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale (TECERS) to ensure necessary basic standards are met.
